Most recently, we have joined ranks with MatterHackers Inc. and their response #16 to supply 10,000 pieces of PPE to various facilities nationwide. We printed our allotment and overnighted them to MatterHackers headquarters in California last week; continuing our efforts and commitment we joined response #17 this week. Additionally, MatterHackers Inc., in partnership with NYCMAKESPPE, is working to provide New York with the assistance they require. We are providing support and working diligently to print 100 pieces of the 3-point face shield frame by 3DVerkstan.

In addition to the face shields, we have also been printing and supplying “ear saver” face mask support braces. While wearing a face mask, the straps will typically wrap around the ears. Anyone required to wear them for extended periods, doctors and nurses especially on 12+ hour shifts, will tend to develop irritation and this can become distracting and cumbersome. The “ear saver” brace alleviates this by attaching the ear loops around the back of the head and not on your ears.

During these times, with a pandemic enveloping us, it is important to remember those on the front lines. These are our doctors, nurses, medical support staff, EMTs, police, firefighters, and anyone who protects and serves to keep us safe. We are doing our part by utilizing files from companies, like Prusa Research and MatterHackers, in order to help by donating personal protection equipment (PPE) to health care facilities. We have printed and supplied PPE, specifically Josef Prusa 3-point face shields, to facilities in Elizabethtown, New York.
